Your Guide To Nursing Conferences This Fall

There’s so much to learn as a nurse. It can feel overwhelming—because it is overwhelming.

The bad news is that there are only 24 hours in each day. The good news is that there are dozens of conferences held each year with the sole purpose of dropping a knowledge bomb on your brain. Bonus: By attending these conferences, nurses can earn all of their annual CEUs in just one or two weekends.

We know you’re busy, so we’ve researched a number of nursing conferences that will be held this fall to help get you started.

AMSN Annual Convention
September 24-27, 2015
Think what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? For most people that might be true, but nurses will take everything they learn at the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Annual Convention home to their patients.

AANN Stroke Conference

American Academy of Nursing Fall Conference
October 15-17, 2015
Did you become a nurse to change the world? If so, we’ve found the conference for you. The American Academy of Nursing’s annual policy conference in Washington, D.C., showcases the work nurses are undertaking to drive policy changes that meet the health needs of individuals and populations.

NAHC Annual Meeting
October 28-30, 2015
If you’re a home care and hospice nurse interested in connecting with more than 2,500 of your colleagues to learn and grow, consider the National Association for Home Care & Hospice Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tenn. This two-day event is packed with 90 education sessions, keynote addresses and many networking opportunities.

  1. I am an LPN and work in a primary care setting and am interested in programs that deals with primary care medicine and better computer programs for adult medicine. Are there any programs with in the Orlando, Fl. area?

  2. Hi I’m an LPN. I work in an Alzheimer’s unit and would like to know more information about patients with Alzheimer’s to help me to better understand the disease I have been a nurse for about a year now but every bit of information is always helpful to understand them. Are there any seminars in Florida? Also any seminars on wound care? Thank you!

  3. The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care [ANAC] has their national conference every year in late October – early November. It’s a wonderful conference for those interested in caring for individuals living with HIV/AIDS or affected by HIV/AIDS. Also a dynamic, extremely knowledgeable group of members. I would highly recommend it.

  4. I started working as a new nurse seven months ago. I would like to attend a conference but don’t know where to begin. I work in a step down cardiac unit and would love nothing more than to go to seminar that would give me some tools to feel more confident in my unit.

    Thank you,
    New RN
