12 Signs That It’s Time To Take A Nurse Vacation

If you find yourself doing any of these things throughout your day, it may be time to submit your vacation request…STAT!

 

1  You see pictures of your non-nurse friends having fun at work and respond accordingly:

 

2  You can no longer filter the words that come out of your mouth:

 

 

 Or the expressions that show on your face:

 

 

 You find pleasure in doing one thing, and one thing alone during your shift:

 

Okay, so it’s more like this:

 

 

 You have become far too comfortable with your lack of a social life:

 

 

6  You want to respond to even the simplest requests with:

 

 

 You get called in for a shift on your day off and you just … can’t cope:

 

 

 Charting? Ha!

 

 You get a day off and all you can think is:

 

10  You just can’t seem to stay awake, no matter how hard you try:

 

 

11  You pretend to take notes while treating a patient. But really, you’re just sort of doodling:

 

 

12  Lastly, you find yourself in this position more often than you’re comfortable admitting:

    I’m a LPN and work the 11p – 7am shift on a dementia unit. 57 patients and 4 cna’s. Sometimes I don’t know whose loosing their minds. ..staff or residents.
