Job Details

Wound Care RN needed in Eureka, CA - A Wound Care Registered Nurse specializes in wound management. They provide care for the patient, promoting quick healing of wounds such as:

Bedsores
Ulcers
Abscesses
Ostomy sites
Feeding tubes
Ports
Recent surgeries

Wound Care Nurses may need to consult with physicians to determine the need for antibiotics, surgical debridement or surgical drains in the case of serious wounds. Wound Care RNs also work with caregivers to teach them about wound care and to discuss how to handle the patient's case.
Responsibilities
As a Wound Care RN your duties consist of:

Checking a wound to determine the severity of the wounds and signs of infection.
Cleaning out dead tissue and foreign materials.
Creating a treatment plan.
Ongoing inspections and cleansing of the wound(s).
Re-bandaging as necessary.

Requirements
One year of experience as a wound care RN within the past two years.

Active RN License in good standing.

Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements
