Traveling to Seattle, WA

Sight-seeing is at the top of the list of activities for most people wanting to come here. Everyone wants to behold the spectacular city from the
Smith Tower Observation Deck - an extraordinary viewpoint 35 floors up on the renowned, beautifully designed building. The world it presents to the eye is truly mesmerizing; you may want to invite some friends to relish the experience along with you. Perhaps you'll be tempted to visit the
Space Needle, a location recognized nationwide as the Seattle icon. This amazing demonstration of clever architectural design is just as pleasing from the inside as it is outside - if not, more so. You've heard about others enjoying a rush of excitement upon going here; now it's your turn!

After marveling at the city from a bird's-eye view, you'll want to hit the streets for a complementary close-up. You won't be disappointed. Seattle is a vast city with tantalizing, picturesque locations and a multitude of people to interact with. You'll be thrilled to discover so many ways to spend your free time in one setting - you'll probably sleep soundly afterwards too.

At Pacific Place, one of the best-known shopping/dining/entertainment centers, you'll find a wide selection of restaurants representing an international variety in cuisine. Mexico Cantina y Veracruz Cooking presents traditional Mexican dishes in a contemporary and inventive light. Meanwhile, sushi-lovers get to enjoy an All-You-Can-Eat Japanese buffet at the popular Todai. Finally, if you're in the mood for something more American, Johnny Rockets has your fix with tasty 1940s-style hamburgers and delicious shakes and malts.

Rainier Square
is your shopping destination for the most fashionable clothing and accessories. David Lawrence, for example, provides an aesthetically-pleasing, sophisticated line of apparel for men and women alike. You will also find specialty shops such as
Calidora Skin Clinic and Fox's Gem Shop that will help you acquire all the right tools to pamper yourself. And since you're in the vicinity, you might as well treat yourself to a ground-breaking performance at the
5th Avenue Theatre or a profound musical experience at

Benaroya Hall.

If you're in downtown, you should be aware of the multitude of events you can attend. Tickets to see Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia at the Pacific Science Center are still being sold; admission to the public ends soon - wait too long and you'll miss your chance to meet the human ancestor that's got scientists so animated! If you love the exhilaration of sampling the best of foreign countries, make a plan to be in Seattle the weekend of April 17 to welcome the arrival of spring during the Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival. And if you love classical music, the Seattle Choral Company is holding a concert on April 25, in which they will amaze even the most seasoned music-lovers with their interpretation of Mozart's 'Mass in C Minor'.

Please, please, please don't miss the opportunity to see one of America's greatest cities. If you've made up your mind to make your next 13 week travel nursing assignment a time to remember for the rest of your life, apply now to set up your date with the Emerald City itself!
