On-Call, (LDR) Labor/Delivery, (OB) Obstetrics, (PP) Postpartum RN needed in Tillamook , OR - A Labor and Delivery Nurse offers a balance of the same elements that are found in critical care, operating room, ER department and pediatric nursing. A Labor and Delivery Nurse has to have excellent communication skills because they are the link between the patient, family members and the physician. A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse must be able to think in a fast passed setting and come up with solutions quickly. L&D RNs work closely with the physician and spend long hours on their feet. Exciting opportunity for a Labor/Delivery/Postpartum RN in beautiful Tillamook, OR! This contract is for 12 hour nights, 13 plus weeks. Responsibilities
As a Labor and Delivery RN some of your duties include:

Making assessments of contractions, dilation, fetal heart rate, etc.
Performing follow-up duties which include:

Analyzing the condition of the newborn.
Assessing the mothers condition.
Watching for signs of distress.
Watching for signs of infections and any other problems.

Requirements

One year of experience as a L&D Registered Nurse within the past two years.

Active RN License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
