On-Call, (LDR) Labor/Delivery, (OB) Obstetrics, (PP) Postpartum RN needed in Tillamook , OR - A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse offers a balance of the same elements that are found in critical care, operating room, ER department and pediatric nursing. A Labor and Delivery Nurse must have excellent communication skills because they are the link between the patient, family members and the physician. A Labor and Delivery RN must be able to think on their feet and come up with solutions quickly. Labor and Delivery Nurses assist the physician and spend long hours on their feet. Exciting opportunity for a Labor/Delivery/Postpartum RN in beautiful Tillamook, OR! This contract is for 12 hour nights, 13 plus weeks. 4 bed unit, average of 10-15 births per month. Responsibilities
As a L&D RN some of your duties include:

Assessing contractions, dilation, heart rates, etc.
Providing follow-up duties which include:

Checking the condition of the newborn.
Assessing the mothers condition.
Looking for signs of distress.
Checking for signs of infections and any other troubles.

Requirements

One year of experience as a L&D Nurse within the past two years.

Current Nursing License in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
