L&D RN needed in Watertown, WI - A Labor and Delivery RN offers a balance of the same elements that are found in the ICU, operating room, ER department and pediatric nursing. A Labor and Delivery Nurse needs to have excellent communication skills because they are the link between the patient, family members and the doctor. A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse must be able to think in a fast passed setting and make decisions quickly. Labor and Delivery RNs help the physician and spend long hours on their feet.
Responsibilities
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse some of your responsibilities include:

Assessing contractions, cervix for dilation, heart rates, etc.
Providing follow-up duties which consist of:

Assessing the condition of the newborn.
Checking the mothers condition.
Looking for signs of trouble.
Watching for signs of infections and any other complications.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN within the past two years.

Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.

Requirements
