Job Details

L&D RN needed in Marshfield, WI - A Labor and Delivery RN provides a balance of the same elements that are found in the ICU, OR, emergency department and pediatric nursing. A Labor and Delivery RN has to have excellent communication skills because they are the link between the patient, family members and the doctor. A Labor and Delivery RN must be able to think quickly and come up with solutions quickly. L&D RNs help the physician and spend many hours on their feet.
Responsibilities
As a L&D RN some of your responsibilities include:

Providing assessment of contractions, dilation, heart rates, etc.
Providing follow-up duties which consist of:

Analyzing the newborns general condition.
Checking the condition of the mother.
Watching for signs of distress.
Checking for signs of infections and any other complications.

Requirements

One year of experience as a L&D Registered Nurse within the past two years.

Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.

Requirements
