Job Details

L&D RN needed in Centralia, WA - A Labor and Delivery Nurse provides a balance of the same elements that are found in the ICU, operating room, emergency department and pediatric nursing. A Labor and Delivery RN must have excellent communication skills because they are the link between the patient, family members and the physician. A Labor and Delivery RN must be able to think quickly and come up with solutions quickly. L&D RNs help the physician and spend many hours on their feet.
Responsibilities
As a Labor and Delivery RN some of your duties consist of:

Making assessments of contractions, cervix for dilation, fetal heart rate, etc.
Providing follow-up duties which include:

Analyzing the condition of the newborn.
Checking the condition of the mother.
Looking for signs of distress.
Checking for signs of infections and any other troubles.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse within the past two years.

Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Washington has two mountain ranges for you to enjoy. The Olympic Mountains on the Olympic Peninsula and the Cascade Range which stretch south to include the Columbia River Gorge.

Requirements
