Position Summary:

Prairie St. John's, a 110-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1997. Prairie offers a full-service psychiatric and addiction Continuum of Care. This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient services and clinic services.

Prairie St. John's is currently seeking two full time support technicians to join our amazing and diverse team on the overnight shift (11 pm - 7:30 am), As the first point of contact for staff, patients, and visitors, the support technician is expected to be professional, helpful, and positive in all aspects of his/her performance. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring the lobby, assisting with patients in Needs Assessment and the lobby; answering phone and directing calls and messages appropriately. The support technician is the primary staff member responsible for thoroughly performing patient searches for contraband; identifying and securing patient belonging in storage tote; accompanying patients to the patient care unit upon admission; and ensuring hand off communication and associated documentation is completed.

This position will be scheduled to work every other Saturday and Sunday from 11 pm - 7:30 am. 

 
Requirements
This position requires an individual who has previous direct care experience of children and/or adults and/or is pursuing an educational degree in nursing, psychology, sociology, pre-med, social work, counseling or other behavioral science related majors. The incumbent will use a computer to accomplish tasks on websites and in Microsoft Outlook, Word and other programs. Successful candidates must have strong communication and relationship skills and a positive approach to Service Excellence.
