Position Summary:
Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy
 
Requirements
A. Work Experience: Minimum one year previous experience required. One to three years hospital experience preferred. Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis reports.
B. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
C. License, Certification, or Registration required: Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
D. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public.
E. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
F. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/clinical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
