Position Summary:
North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited residential treatment facility which serves children and adolescents ages 9 to 17 with a broad spectrum of psychiatric service needs. Our strategic plan for the past two years has been centered on improving fidelity to our evidence-based clinical methodology.
In September 2015 we opened a 15-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital serving ages 7 to 17 to expand the continuum of care available in the region. 

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurses to join our on-call pool.

Compensation package:

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsible for nursing care based on the nursing process and in compliance with facility policies and procedures. 
  2. Monitors, reports, and documents the residents’ behavior and physiological status. 
  3. Administers medications and performs treatments/procedures in compliance with facility and nursing services, policies, and procedures.
  4. Guides the response to residents who are behaviorally out of control or who may be experiencing a medical or behavioral crisis in collaboration with the nurse manager and physician. 
  5. Reports accurately and concisely to oncoming shifts regarding conditions of residents.
  1. RN licensed in Commonwealth of Virginia or another compact state
  2. Associates degree in Nursing, Bachelor's preferred
  3. Experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably with children and/or adolescents
  4. Must be at least 21 years of age
  5. Position is subject to a criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
