Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential, partial hospitalization and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 6-21 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses. We organize our treatment around helping children and teenagers remove barriers and develop interest in their futures and career aspirations. Our therapeutic model is collaborative; working with families, patients and agencies to maximize therapeutic goals and individual treatment.Three Rivers Midlands currently has a Per Diem, Registered Nurse positions available.

PRNNurses must work a minimum of five (5) twelve (12) hour shifts per month, with two of these shifts being weekend shifts. Weekend shifts begin Saturday at 7am and end at 7:30 am Monday. (12 hour shifts 7am-7pm &7pm-7am).  PRN Nurses are required to work three (3) holiday shifts per year. Holidays are defined as:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. One (1) of the holiday shifts must be Thanksgiving or Christmas Day .

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

• Serve as the Unit Supervisor for all staff
• Provides resident assessment, nursing care and evaluation of nursing care.
• Ensures consistent use of the nursing process in providing quality resident care
• Acts as a resource to residential care staff
• Serves as a role model for residents to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes & behaviors
• Responsible for Medication Administration, Maintaining documentation, Develop treatment plans, Carry out physicians orders, etc.
• Ensure the safety of residents by ensuring that precautions are being followed as written by physician
• Ensure that daily schedule is being followed as outlined


The following are the job requirements for the Per Diem R.N. position:

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current license and registration by the South Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse. One year nursing experience required. Strong Assessment & precise documentation skills required.
Must possess knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors and BLS.
One year prior child/adolescent psychiatric experience is strongly preferred.
