Our Therapeutic Activities Department is  seeking  an energetic and  experienced Recreation Therapist to work a  per diem schedule mostly on weekends.

The Recreation Therapist's responsibilities include planning and implementing recreational and leisure activities for an assigned program. This involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation and role modeling to patients.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Music or Art Therapy and CTRS certification. Must have the ability to teach leisure awareness, sports, games, anger management, stress management coping skills and run creative expression groups. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness, is strongly preferred.
