Position Summary:

Copper Hills Youth Center is a private residential treatment center for male and female adolescents aged 12 through17. We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Job Description:
Supervises students in their daily activities. Serves as a positive role model for youth providing close supervision and documenting behaviors. Must be team player and recognize the importance of this position to positive student outcomes.

Available full time shifts include:
• Days: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Swings: Monday through Friday 2:48 p.m. to 10:48.p.m.
• Weekend: Saturday through Sunday 7:00 a.m. through 10:48 p.m.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have valid state issued driver’s license or ID card
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Educational background in psychology, social work, or related fields is helpful, but not
• required
• Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred, but not required
• Reasonable oral and written communication skills
• May occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must have compassion and patience for youth struggling with psychological issues
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks including
• clearance through the Utah State Department of Human Services Office of Licensing
