Position Summary:

Take a closer look at San Marcos Treatment Center, a premier provider of psychiatric residential evaluation and treatment, in continuous operation for over 75 years!


Provides constant supervision of assigned patient population at all times. Assures daily program schedule is consistently implemented, including conducting scheduled therapeutic recreational activities. Consistently and accurately writes clinical and administrative documentation as directed. Implements patient treatment plan strategies through consistent use of the Behavior Enhancement Program. Continually communicates with co-workers, supervisors and other staff regarding patient care and safety issues. Safely and consistently manages physically aggressive and self-abusive behavior utilizing the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) program. serves as a role model for all patients in appearance, interaction, problem-solving methodology, personal accountability and showing respect for others, self and property.

 
Requirements

Good verbal and written skills in English. Ability to work various shifts and programs as necessary. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information. Ability to understand and demonstrate appropriate boundaries between self and patients. Capacity to accept feedback and utilize it to improve performance. Mental and emotional maturity and stability. High school education or GED required, prefer some college. Prefer experience working with emotionally disturbed, neuropsychiatrically impaired and / or developmentally delayed adolescent population.
