Position Summary:

Pembroke Hospital is seeking a proactive and forward thinking Human Resources Director to manage and guide the overall provision of Human Resources services. As the Human Resources Director, you will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that the company is in compliance with all State, Federal, & Joint Commission standards.
  • Oversee exempt and non-exempt recruitment and selection.
  • Actively work with leadership, managers and supervisors on staff satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure employees are oriented to the hospital and equipped to provide excellent service to our clients.
  • Participate in senior leadership strategic development to address current and future hospital needs. 
  • Proactively stay on top of applicable state and federal labor laws to advise hospital leadership to required responses.
  • Be a resource for staff and management in regards to employee relations issues.
  • Be responsible for the planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating of all HR functions and activities of the hospital and advise on recruiting and compensation trends in the local market.

What is required to be successful in this role:

  • * Bachelors degree is required - preferably in human resources, business or a human services field.  A Master's degree is preferred.
  • * Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks coming from many direction to meet all deadlines.  Exceptional follow-up skill required.
  • * Incredible communication skills; you can effectively communicate verbally to all levels within the organization as well as in writing (as you will demonstrate in your cover letter).
  • * Proven consultative approach to HR management, with the ability to collaborate with and influence other leaders to reach an optimum strategic approach.
  • * Knowledge of State and Federal healthcare guidelines as well as experience with the Joint Commission is highly preferred.
