Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Tech will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleans floors in patient and non-patient areas
  • Maintains facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion
  • Supports facility’s safety and security programs
  • Demonstrates conduct in keeping with facility’s standards

This opportunity is available to individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Elementary reading, writing and math skills; basic English usage; courtesy; neatness; adherence to instructions and deadlines; knowledge of and skills in applying basic cleaning and housekeeping procedures and methods
  • Institutional experience preferred
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic
  • Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions
  • Must be able to work independently, in a restricted physical environment for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently
  • Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential
  • Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift & grasp
