Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents, a 110 bed state licensed and JCAHO-accredited specialty rehabilitation hospital, is located on 98 acres of riverfront land between Richmond and Williamsburg, Virginia in New Kent County.  We provide specialized care for young people whose disabilities, injuries or lifelong illnesses are compounded by emotional and/or behavioral problems.  We are currently seeking a Full Time Environmental Services Tech / Housekeeper to work day shift 7:00AM – 3:30PM during the week and every other weekend.  The candidate selected will be responsible for following set routines to create and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.  The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:   

1.    Follows set routines to create and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors.

2.    Provides cleaning services in assigned areas to maintain an orderly, aseptic physical environment.

3.    Maintains environmental systems which assist hospital in efficient functioning.

4.    Demonstrates competency in skills and knowledge pertinent to creating a clean and safe environment.

 
Requirements

Job Requirements:

The following are the job requirements for the Full Time Environmental Services Tech / Housekeeper position:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED.
  2. MUST have a clean driving record (no DWIs/DUIs, suspended license, or no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years)
  3. Previous hospital  and/or hotel EVS experience is PREFERRED.
  4. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment with aptitude for attention to detail is REQUIRED.
  5. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, 80-90% of the time, the incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working.
