Timberlawn Behavioral Health System is a 144 bed behavioral health facility located in Dallas, TX is looking for a dynamic, Director of Plant Operations. 

The Director of Plant Operations  is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the departments and for the ongoing assessment and improvement of all services. Good knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (HVAC), electrical equipment, water supply, waste, plumbing, paint, wall and floor finishes, portable equipment, fire safety equipment and sanitation.  Serves as the hospital Safety Officer.

 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency, knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.


  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Two years minimum experience in plant and general maintenance.  Minimum two years experience with fire safety systems.  One year management experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle operation report required.
  • Experience in working with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies is preferred. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards.
  • Intermediate level computer experience, including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Management Systems is preferred.
