West Hills Hospital is a 95-bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Reno, Nevada, specializing in behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Job Description: The Director Medical Records is responsible for the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance will all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within JCAHO standards for the quality of patient care.

 
Requirements

Education: The Director of Medical Records is responsible for directing the activities of the Medical Records Department in the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance will all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within JCAHO standards for the quality of patient care.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in information management is required, with direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred. Thorough knowledge of medical records coding and medical terminology required.

Licensure: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator.
