Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center (PSBHC) is an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for males and females, ages 5 – 17 years old.  We offer a highly structured supportive and safe environment for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, and social challenges.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
Responsible for the preparation and portioning of meals following dietary recipes and menus. Monitors the quality and temperature of all foods while being held before being placed on the serving line for each meal. Responsible for dishwashing and serving food in the cafeteria to patients, employees, and guests.  Assure patient diets are met and options are available for those patients with special dietary needs. Also responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment assuring all appropriate procedures are followed at all times.

 
Requirements

Education:  High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience:   Food, restaurant, or institutional service is required, of which hospital dietary department experience is preferred. The ability to read and write in English is required. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Additional Requirements: 

Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test.

Successful completion of CPR Certification during orientation and Safe Serve.

Employee has the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information. Has ability to understand and demonstrate appropriate boundaries between self, staff, and patients.
