Position Summary:

Fremont Hospital is a 148 bed acute psychiatric hospital situated in the heart of the bay area. We are a mid-sized facility filled with diversity and the feel of a close knit community. We currently seek an experienced Clinical Registered Dietitian our posted per diem position. The selected candidate will be a Clinical Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders, who works with the interdisciplinary health care team, to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient’s medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include: providing and documenting medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; providing nutrition education through group therapy; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

 
Requirements
Education/Experience& lt; strong>: Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area. Granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.
Requires a minimum of two (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning.
 
Licensure: Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; Certification/Licensure as required by state of practice.
 
Additional Requirements: CPR with AED (CPR/AED) certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire. You may successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non- violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures. Must have thorough knowledge of TJC/CMS, OSHA, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
