West Hills Hospital is a 95-bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Reno, Nevada, specializing in behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Job Description: The Certified HIM Coders is accountable for the conversion of diagnoses and procedures into codes using the ICD–10 CM/PCS classification system. This position requires skill in sequencing of diagnoses/procedures to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with coding guidelines and federal/state laws. The Certified HIM Coders ensures records are coded in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, the coder position encompasses all aspects of the HIM department to include but not limited to assembly, analysis, filing, auditing and release of information.


Job Requirements:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent with one of the following coding credentials: CCS (preferred), CCS-P, CCA, CPC, or CPC-H

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years experience in coding/HIM preferred.

Licensure: Must maintain a valid Nevada driver's license. CCS (preferred), CCS-P, CCA, CPC, or CPC-H
