Sierra Vista Hospital, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.


Some of the responsibilities include:

Ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient setting; written and oral communication skills, knowledge of utilization management & skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice.
Candidate must have knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults, geriatrics, and adolescents; familiarity with follow-up resource services; skills in conducting group therapy. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
Providing quality case management to psychiatric patients; to serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric patients and their families.
Located in Sacramento, California, Sierra Vista Hospital is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families.  We also provide inpatient alcohol detox services.  Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and alcohol problems. Our private, 171-bed facility is home to a clinical team comprised of licensed professionals committed to providing the highest quality care.

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling psychology, mental health or a related field preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (1) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Experience in patient assessment, risk and safety assessments, treatment planning, community resources, group and family therapy, family systems and communication, and coordination with external review organizations.

Licensure: MA or MSW, preferably working toward Licensure
