Using the principles of wellness and recovery, our multidisciplinary treatment teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, social workers, expressive arts therapists, and other mental health specialists, provide individualized care to meet each patient’s unique needs.
The Assistant Director of the Crisis Response Center (CRC) oversees the assessment and referral activities during evening shift. The Assistant Director assigns responsibilities to assure prompt response to patient needs, reviews, and maintains all documents and departmental logs and assigns physicians to admitted patients. The Asst. Director performs counselor responsibilities and provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The CRC Assistant Director will supervise unit staff, including daily schedule assignment, call management, orientation and report staffing needs to the CRC Director.

Requirements

Masters degree; RN or MSW/LSW preferred. Two-four years of  prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.  Supervisory experience preferred. Prefer knowledge of hospital admissions functions,crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
