Established in 1986, the Anchor Hospital campus of Southern Crescent Behavioral Health System is a 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission that specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for Adolescents, Adults and Senior Adults. Located in College Park, GA, Anchor Hospital serves Mental Health and Substance Abuse patients from all over the Southeast. We are committed to excellence in diagnosis, treatment and education. Patients who come to Anchor Hospital are in crisis, and the road to recovery for behavioral, mental health, and substance abuse patients is a difficult one. The staff at Anchor Hospital serves as compassionate guides who provide for our patients’ clinical needs.

The position requires internal marketing, effective communication with insurance companies, efficient communication with referral sources, and overall excellent service to patients and other callers/visitors. Responsibilities include assessment of risk and need of those who present for care; provision of treatment recommendation; immediate patient/client disposition; arranging hospital transfer/discharge; and making outpatient referrals and/or making connections to other community agencies and resources. Other responsibilities include being able to perform all aspects of the hospital’s assessment and referral process, including efficient and effective management of crisis calls and other telephone inquiries.



Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, is required

2. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
3. License/Certification: Associate Licensure (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT) or full licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred
4. Skills: Candidates must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Candidates must also have working knowledge of DSM-5/ICD10 and 1013 process.
5. Physical Requirements: Moderate to low physical demands. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone. Must be able to assist in physical crisis intervention when necessary.
6. Other: Performs others duties as assigned by Director or CEO
