Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Agency Representative is to provide clerical assistance to the S Specialists, Team Leads and Manager.

Essential Job Duties:
1. Opens and sorts mail received on a daily basis as outlined in department procedure and distributes all department mail on a daily basis
2. Processes all outgoing mailings for department according to procedure.
3. Processes all requests from external vendors, patients, co-workers, etc…
4. Has a complete understanding of the SMS patient accounting system and is able to utilize all functions appropriately.
5. Consistently receives and reviews daily reports for distribution.
6. Files all required paperwork by retention policies.
7. Directs any problems with accounts or where additional intervention is needed to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
8. Executes job duties to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency. Uses available work time to complete all tasks with established frames and timelines
9. Other duties as assigned.


The following are the job requirements for the Agency Representative position:

Must work effectively with other employees, patients, insurance companies and other outside parties.
The ability to clearly communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing is required.
Provides customer focused service, exceeding expectations of both internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required.
Ability to pay attention to detail, prioritize needs, multi-task and manage needs is essential.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
At least one year of healthcare business office experience preferred.
